About the play:
*******
Cliff Bradshaw, a bi-sexual American author comes to Berlin, Germany in January of 1933 seeking all the of torrid thrills the city is said to offer. At the Kit Kat Klub, a Cabaret hosted by an enigmatic Emcee, he finds what he was looking for and more in the hedonistic Sally Bowles. But the sordid lifestyle and crippling economics of post-WW1 Germany have had grave social and political consequences. Hitler and his über-conservative and heavily anti-Semitic Nazi party have begun their rise to power. The Cabarets and their principally liberal, Jewish artists now come under scrutiny and attack. How can free will triumph under such horrible, oppressive conditions?
