Burns, Bob -- What keeps me going to my 80's--apart from Phyllis.
--I sing with the Retreads (the name says it all) -ole guys who sing ole songs-every week at Seniors' residences on West Island.
-- Do Dorval Meals on Wheels
-- Belong to ACRA (Assoc. of Catholic Retired (not retarded) Administrators-mostly Montreal ex-principals--I was DG in Dorval 61-70 before coming to JAC'
-- Read to the Blind- using home phone --always on the lookout for readers-contact me if interested.

Burns, Phyliss -- Since retiring I've found organized group activities helpful and therefore I belong to a Book Club...meet once a month...love it.

-- Also I organized a Film Club...as it happens few JAC retirees are in it.  We meet once a month...view a film (late matinee) and then go out to dinner and discuss.  Its been fun,,,keeps us up to date with each other.

 DeLorenzi, Barb

You are cordially invited to attend a vernissage of the recent works of the students of Claire Sugai at the Galerie Espace on St. Laurent, below St. Joseph on October 11 from 5 to 8 p.m.

All the works are abstract and in black and white, based on our study of Japanese calligraphy.

I have only one piece in this exhibit, since I am a relative newbie. I will be present, of course, at the vernissage and on Saturday and Sunday (October 13 and 14) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

If you feel like an excuse to go downtown, here's one for you. Remember our JACFA motto, if you feed them, they will come. Mind you, this will not be a full meal, only a wine and hors d'oeuvres. ;)

Doran, Bill -- do you want to keep in contact with activities of an educational nature? or hands-on work in shops? or administration? or library work?
Come and see what our Aviation Centre is all about.
Contact me at Doran@foxdigital.net  or phone  450-458-5861 and I'll arrange a visit for you.
Our Aviation Centre  (or Museum ) is in the old Mac stone barn, just over the tracks from JAC. Follow the blue and white signs that have an aircraft propeller on  them.

Thomson, Peter --

--actively involved with the social activities of my wife's church:  planning, setting up, running, and cleaning up.  I & a friend also run the used book corner in the church hall.  Over 200 feet of shelving of hard & soft cover books.

-- Spring 2012 - I started discussing the possibility of initiating a retirees group of JAC staff.  We had our first big get-together Friday, Sept. 14th, 2012.

--Fall 2011 I volunteered as a co-teacher with Remi Cardinal who was teaching Public Speaking in the day division.  It was a great experience for me.  I continued this volunteer activity for the fall of 2012.
